Malvikingen Opp is a mountain race that runs from Vikhammerløkka to Solemsvåttan. The course is approximately 6 km long with an elevation difference of 420 meters between the start and finish. In the competitive class, everyone can compete against each other thanks to an adjustment factor that depends on gender and age. The race also features a recreational class and a family-friendly hiking class with a nature trail for those who wish to participate. Malvikingen Opp was first held on May 7, 2011, and is the oldest mountain race in Malvik.
